Hybrid incentives

[Treehugger]: The Union of Concerned Scientists has updated its Hybrid Center website with a list of all federal and state hybrid vehicle incentives in the US. '[T]here are now
hybrid incentives or bills in 31 states (including the District of
Columbia) ลก a huge jump over last year.



I've been inclined lately to suggest that yanking the subsidies out from under fossil fuels, nuclear and pollution
makes more policy and political sense than providing incentives for
efficiency and renewables. OTOH, these could be helpful in the
meantime, until I bend Congress to my will.
