BOP on the road

Business Growth and Innovation in the Base of the Pyramid
is a series of 'cross-sector dialogue[s] exploring the opportunities
for small, medium and large companies and social entrepreneurs working
with the Base of the Pyramid.'



Upcoming dates include Stuart Hart in Sao Paolo August 30, and both
Hart and CK Prahalad in Mexico City September 1. (Details from the
first link, above.



Brazil and Mexico both boast a
well-developed private sector but also suffer from a high poverty rate.
Thirty-seven percent of the population in Mexico and twenty-four
percent in Brazil live on less than $2 per day. The economic, social,
and environmental conditions in the country are conducive to launching
BoP initiatives.
