Winning the Oil Endgame

Winning the Oil Endgame, a new report from Rocky Mountain Institute, is the first roadmap of the oil solutionĂ–one led by business for profit, not dictated by government for reasons of ideology. This roadmap is independent, peer-reviewed, written for business and military leaders, and co-funded by the Pentagon. It combines innovative technologies and new business modelswithuncommon publicpolicies:market-orientedwithout taxes, innovation-driven without mandates, not dependent on major (if any) national legislation, and designed to support, not distort, business logic.

Long, detailed, critically important. I'll hope to have more to say in coming days, after I've read it thoroughly. It would be nice, though, if this got more news coverage than presidential candidates' actions 30+ years ago -- this issue is probably a lot more significant to our common future.
